gTHE TRIBOCHEMISTRY AWARDh has been established for a scientist who made an outstanding contributions
to the science and technology in the fields of Tribochemistry by The Tribochemistry
Technical Committee (TTC, Chair: Dr. Keiji Nakayama), Japanese Society of Tribologists (JAST) in 2019. The laureates of the award will gain the worldfs highest honor
in the field of tribochemistry by a certificate with a medal.The award
laureates are selected every 4 years and the award is presented to them
in The Tribochemistry Conference held every 4 years in Japan.
The Tribochemistry Award for 2023
The Tribochemistry Award recipients for 2023 have been selected by the
Selection Committee and detemined by the Award Committee under the Tribochemistry
Technical Committe (Chair: Dr. Keiji Nakayama), JAST. They are the following
three well-known tribochemists in the world.
The award will be presented to them in the Award Ceremony to be held in
the Banquet of "Tribochemistry Beppu 2023" in the evening on
Saturday, September 23, 2023.

George Washington University, U.S. A., 2) Dr. Jean-Michel Martin, Emeritus
Professor of Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France, 3) Dr. Hugh Alexnder Spikes,
Emeritus Professor of Imperial College, U.K..
